Founder of Yoga Forum with hundred of Yoga School associated. Was exclusive columnist on Ayurveda at Fox Latin TV.

Chair:  Dr. Sat Bir Singh Khalsa, Ph.D., Assistant Professor of Medicine, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School; Director of Yoga Research, Yoga Alliance; Editor-in-Chief, International Journal of Yoga Therapy.

Guest Speakers:

Dr. Ravi Ramamurti, a  Distinguished Professor of International Business & Strategy, and Director, Center for Emerging Markets, Northeastern University, Boston. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB).  He has been a visiting professor at HBS, MIT-Sloan, CEIBS-Shanghai, IMD-Lausanne, and the Wharton School.

Professor Bhushan Patwardhan is an eminent biomedical scientist who has made original contributions in evidence-based Ayurveda especially in Ayurvedic biology, ethnopharmacology, natural product drug development, and public health. He is founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine published by Elsevier.

Dr. Rama Jayasundar, Professor and Head, Department of NMR, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, an expert on the science behind Ayurveda.   She has a PhD. in Physics from Cambridge University. She also has a medical degree in Ayurveda and professionally trained Ayurvedic doctor.

 

11:30 – 1:00 PM Session 2: Analysis and Impact of Covid-19

Chair: Dr. Darshan Mehta, Medical Director and Director of Medical Education at Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine at MGH/Harvard. He is also Associate Director for the Osher Center for Integrative Medicine.

Guest Speakers:

Dr. Arvind Panagariya, economist and a professor of economics at Columbia University. He       served as first Vice-Chairman of NITI Aayog, the government of India think-tank

Dr. Christian S. Kessler, an internist and senior researcher on traditional systems of medicine at Charité Medical University Berlin, Germany. His main focuses in research and practice are traditional Indian forms of health sciences and how they can be integrated in European health care delivery.

Keynote: Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Hon’ble Minister of Health, Science & Tech, Government of India, Chairman, Executive Board, World Health Organization (WHO)

Chair: Dr. Timothy McCall, MD, specializing in internal medicine, and the author of several books including   Yoga as Medicine: The Yogic Prescription for Health and Healing (Bantam). He is co-editor of the first medical textbook on yoga therapy, The Principles, and Practice of Yoga in   Health Care.

Guest Speakers:

Dr. David Frawley, Padma Bhusan, Vedic Teacher (Vedacharya), and Author of 40 books published in 20 languages worldwide over the last several decades. His diverse fields of expertise include Ayurveda, Yoga, Vedanta, Tantra, and Vedic Studies.

Dr. Balram Singh,  Chairman of Executive Board of BoCE, a leading expert on protein structure, protein folding and functions, botulinum toxins, and biodefense agents. He is the founder of the Institute of Advanced Sciences. A Professor with an interest in teaching innovative biotechnology,

Dr. Jerry Solfvin,  Center for Indic Studies at the University of Massachusetts,  Dartmouth.

 

10:45 AM – 12:15 PM Session 2: Future of Education, Science & Technology

Chair: Dr. Diana Lurie, University of Montana, MO; Professor of Neuropharmacology in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy. She is a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner (Kerala Ayurveda) and is the Chair of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association Certification Board (NAMACB).

Guest Speakers:

Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM Kozhikode, has taught leadership classes at Harvard University and at the Indian Institutes of Management (IIM), Calcutta, Lucknow, and Kozhikode.  He is the author of seventeen books including ‘Timeless Leadership’.

Prof. Vivek Wadhwa, a technology entrepreneur, author, and academic,  Distinguished Fellow & Adjunct Professor at Carnegie Mellon’s School of Engineering, and Distinguished Fellow at the Labor and Worklife Program at Harvard Law School.

 

12:15 PM – 1:00 PM Concluding Session

Dr. Hans H. Rhyner,  studied yoga, Ayurveda, and philosophy in India. In 1991 he started the first Ayurveda Hospital outside India at Walzenhausen, Switzerland.  He is president of the Swiss Association of Ayurveda Physicians and Therapists (VSAMT) as well as of the Association of Ayurveda Professionals World Wide (AAPWW). Switzerland.

Hilary Garivaltis,  Executive Director of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA), and principal founder of Ayurvedic Health Education Services, LLC, which offers educational and training programs in Ayurveda.
